Yesterday we went to Hildeshime, which is another town in Lower Saxony. Believe it or not, I thought it was prettier than Celle, which is world famous for being pretty. lol
They have a ton of half timbered houses, a Jewish monument built where the foundation of the synagogue was before it was burned when Germany destroyed all synagogues (Reichskristallnacht), quite a few Churches (including one that is celebrating their 1000 year anniversary!) and a 1000 year old rose bush.

The strangest thing is that one of the buildings we were at is closing in 2 days because they think there are some undetonated bombs on the grounds from WW2. They have to excavate and try to defuse them. Apparently, this happens regularly. :/ In fact, Andre said that the day he picked us up there was an explosion that killed 2 of the people trying to disarm one they found.
